Adjunct Assistant Professor of Political Science

Marquette University

I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Political Science at Marquette University. I also serve as the Pre-Law Advisor for the Klinger College of Arts and Sciences.

My research interests include administrative law, constitutional law and interpretation, and American Political Development. My research has appeared in law reviews and public-facing websites, including the Washington University Law Review Online, Dayton Law Review, Yale Journal on Regulation, and Liberal Currents.

Specifically, my research focuses on the American presidency and its interactions with the administrative state, Congress, and the Supreme Court. I believe that the branches of government are in constant contestation with each other. The result of this contestation is that the “lines” of separation are never fixed in our system of government.

I graduated from Carthage College with a BA in History in 2018. I earned my JD from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2021, where I was awarded the Francis J. Conte Award for my law review note. Following law school, I clerked for the Honorable Norah McCann King of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

If I am not reading, writing, or teaching, I enjoy lifting weights, collecting vinyl, and browsing used bookstores.
